Officer Whitehead gave crime stats that include thefts and assaults. Their meeting to be held April 28 at 6 pm. Sergeant Atanacio had said someone from the store on the corner of Fulton & McHenry (1742 McHenry / 233 S Fulton) might attend named Joeseph but they were a no-show.

Michelle Berkley-Brown from Life Bridge spoke about the changes to former Bon Secours now Grace Medical Hospital, which was completely renovated. Has all services including a Walgreens Pharmacy.

Rhonda Williams spoke about the programs including senior housing. They have a non smoking group and take blood pressures. All programs have no charge. Out patient care, primary care, free transportation to hospital, opioid education. Monday—Friday outpatient open 8:30 to 5 pm. ER always open. Free transportation is available to all Lifebridge appointments!

Kurt Sommer is with West Baltimore Renaissance Foundation. They provide grants to non profits. Provide grants to 120 nonprofits in West Baltimore. Some are Clay Pots, SWP and Safe Streets.

The Factory at W Baltimore and Calhoun has a computer lab and conference room. Some of the nonprofits inthe building are Baltimore Promise, Lifebridge, and NAMI. There will be a food distribution on May 18 at 2 pm. Cheapest classroom is 40 per hour, big events are 100 an hour. Factory community day is September 26th from 11-2.

Family Day at Grace Medical Center is June 18 from 2-6 pm.

Meghan Cardoso from SWP spoke about the alley gates, street lights, door bell cameras, rebuilding vacant homes. Also workshops for renters to own homes. Carey Street bridge the street lights upgraded. 224-226 S Carey Street torn down. Garage facelifts to include Faith Center.

Cuda Zmuda from Healthy Neighborhoods helps affordable home ownership at a loan interest rate. Provides money for home repair. Also special purchase of former vacants at a low interest rate. There are no fees. Only need 5k in improvements to get acquisition & rehab loan and HNI covers costs of inspectors and architects.

Patricia Ofori spoke of the building of an artist community – house being renovated on McHenry, Vincent, Gilmor and Mount Streets. Want to create kids playground. Would provide 10-13 new families. Put in agenda for next month.

Dwayne from Councilman Bullock’s office just wanted to say thank you and to call if anything needed.

Justin Nether a mural painter for 16 years talked about the murals painted around our area. Needs funds to get other artists together for ideas.

Nancy needs drinks and chips for the Mother’s Day giveaway on May 10.
