Lorena Smith attended on behalf of City of Baltimore and clear boarded vacants. She explained that these are done with a grant and City does not pay. It is City owned properties which are vacant that are getting clear boarded. She explained that this is better as you can see inside the building rather than having boards at windows to be torn off. There are many vacants in City but only City owned properties will be boarded. Report to 311 any vacants in your neighborhood. There is also a list of vacants listed for demolition as they are beyond repair. Lorena is hopeful that the City will put funds in the budget to keep the clear boarding.

Elizabeth Bowers would like a letter of support from Council to help with the homeless in getting them financial sponsorship, housing, services and an address for mail.

Mia Morrison and Alicia Corson discussed property at 40 S. Fulton Avenue = they would like a mural painted on the side of the newly renovated home. Discussion was had concerning color scheme, what was to be painted on wall. Funds would come from the BERNI Grant.

Christmas Bingo will take place Friday, Dec. 4, 2026

Louis Williams III resigned from the board due to being laid off by black yield.

A map was provided showing vacants in Mount Clare – some have been renovated. Discussion on traffic calming and necessity for a three way stop sign at Carey and McHenry. Nancy to find out about house on Gilmor that has a front but no other part of the house is there.

It was agreed to put a container for sharps at the War Memorial
